Bricks & Bugs is a fun paddle-type breakout game reminiscent of Pong but with a twist.
The objective of Bricks & Bugs is to destroy as many objects that pass through the game window as you can by deflecting a ball off of your paddle As the name suggests, in this game the target objects consist of an assortment of various bricks and bugs. At the start of each level, all of the objects will appear at random locations within the game window and will start moving in random directions and speeds. Once all the brick and bugs have been destroyed, you will advance to the next level. The levels contain different numbers of objects; the first level will contain five objects, the second level will contain six, the third seven, etc., up to a maximum of 25 objects - after that, the cycle repeats itself.
You begin Bricks & Bugs with ten lives. The number of lives you have remaining is illustrated as a series of balls that is displayed in the game information panel at the bottom of the game window. When you miss the ball by not hitting it with your paddle (or if you get hit by a missile dropped by one of the bugs), then you lose a life. The game ends when you completely run out of lives.
