D3DGear is an advanced game recording software and utility for Windows DirectX & OpenGL PC games.
D3DGear helps you record whatever 3D game you are playing while you are it and save the recording in AVI movie format for sharing or uploading to YouTube. The screenshot capture tool captures any game or application quickly and saves them to your local drive.
To record a game, first, navigate to the "Record Movie" tab in the program. There you select what options you need; frame rate, movie size, etc. You will notice a "hotkey" assigned, typically F8. Remember that key. Fire up the game and, when ready, hit the hotkey to start or stop the record. It's that easy.
D3DGear's recording engine is very efficient, so with a modern PC, you see minimal, if any, performance hits to your gameplay.
If you have Aero Desktop enabled, you can also record your Windows Desktop for sharing later. Just right click the D3DGear logo in the systray and choose "Start Recording Aero Desktop."
