JHashCode allows you to generate the hashes with the chosen algorithm (MD2, MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, and SHA-512) of a single file or an entire folder.
JHashCode has a very easy to use interface. Select MD2, MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, or SHA-512 and choose the directory, generated hash, compare with and click Generate Hash. A status bar will appear showing both Status and Total.
You can also select multiple languages and change the look and feel.
Overall, JHashCode is simple enough for any skill level. That said, JHashCode is a Java program, so it's not for everyone.
