uBlock Origin for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Opera blocks not only advertisements but also trackers, malware sites, and more.
uBlock Origin should work with all compatible browsers, including Chromium and Firefox.
uBlock Origin looks similar to AdBlock Plus. Click on the big blue power button, and you can enable or disable uBlock Origin on any website. If that's all you want to do, you can stop there, however, there are other features to explore.
uBlock Origin has numerous options for filtering, trusted sites, rules, and more. There is also an element picker and zapper mode.
On the left, you can see a list of blocked advertisers and trackers.
Overall, we liked uBlock Origin over AdBlock Plus, and we are keeping it on our computer as a possible, permanent replacement.
Like most, we also use ad-blocking in our web browser. Please remember that the big companies now pay off most ad-blocking companies to allow ads. Because of this, don't forget the little guy and please whitelist your favorite websites.
