How to Hide Badges on the Windows 11 Taskbar
By Timothy Tibbetts |
Windows 11 can show you notifications, known as badges, which appear to alert you of an update, for example, a new email. Badges are on by default, but you can disable them.
The settings for badges are buried a few levels deep but easy to change.
Right-click on the Taskbar and click Taskbar settings.
Scroll down on the right side and click on Taskbar.
Scroll down on the right again, and click on Taskbar behaviors.
Toggle Show badges (unread message counter) on taskbar apps.
