How to Disable Malwarebytes on Startup

If you use Malwarebytes for scanning and prefer not to have it start with Windows, it's easy to do. Here's how.

Of course, for most people, you would want Malwarebytes to start with Windows and protect your computer 24\7. One advantage to disabling Malwarebytes is to stop the nagging if you shut off any of the default protection modes.

Over the years, there have been different ways to disable Malwarebytes, starting with Windows, including disabling it from startup or modifying the service.

Malwarebytes has since simplified the process.

Click on the gear located in the top-right corner to open settings.

Click on the Security tab.

Uncheck Windows Startup.
