How to Disable the Snipping Tool in Windows 10 & 11

If you'd like to disable the Snipping Tool in Windows 10, you can with Group Policy Editor or the Registry.
The Snipping tool allows Windows 10 users to capture screenshots.

How to Disable the Snipping Tool in Windows 10 - Group Policy Editor
Open the Group Policy Editor. Windows 10 Home users will need to enable Group Policy Editor or use the Registry method below.
Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Tablet PC > Accessories.
Double-click Do not allow Snipping Tool to run.
Click on Enabled.
Change it back to Not configured to re-enable the Snipping Tool.
How to Disable the Snipping Tool in Windows 10 - Registry Editor
Be sure to back up your registry.
Open the Registry Editor.
Navigate to the following two locations:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\TabletPC
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\TabletPC
Create a new TabletPC key.
Click on TabletPC and on the right, right-click and click New > DWORD > (32-bit Value).
Name the new DWORD DisableSnippingTool.
Change the Value data to 1.
To enable the Snipping Tool, delete the TabletPC key, or change the Value data to 0.
