How to Add VBScript Script File to New Context Menu in Windows 10
By Timothy Tibbetts |
A VBScript (Visual Basic Script or VBS) is a text file written in the VBScript scripting language. VBScripts are most frequently executed (double-clicked) within Windows via the Windows-based script host (Wscript.exe). Anyone who spends a lot of time coding in Visual Basic Script will appreciate the ability to create a new VBScript Script File from the Context Menu.
One example of VBScript is the script we provided to Create Safe Mode Desktop Shortcuts, which, when double-clicked can automatically reboot your computer in Safe Mode.
Or, you can create your first Visual Basic Script by creating a script that will create a Notification That Your Laptop Battery Is Charged on Windows 10.
Many geeks are familiar with VBS if you ever used slmgr.vbs to view, install, uninstall, activate, or extend your Windows license.
Download Add VBScript Script File to New Context Menu in Windows 10, and extract the two files:
Add New VBScript Context Menu.reg
Default - Remove New VBScript Context Menu.reg
Double-click Add New VBScript Context Menu.reg or Remove New VBScript Context Menu.reg to remove the VBScript Script File Context Menu
Click Yes when prompted by User Account Control.
Click Yes when prompted by Registry Editor.
Click OK when prompted by the Registry Editor.
