How to Change Folder View Template for All Folders in Windows 10
By Timothy Tibbetts |
Windows 10 offers the option to view files and folders as Details, List, or Small, Medium, Large, or Extra large icons. Here's how you can change each folder view option (Users, Documents, Music, Pictures, Video) to suit your needs.
Windows has five categories or templates that you will need to change. While a bit tedious, it should only take a minute of your time to get each folder view to whatever you need.
You can also Reset Folder View Settings in Windows 10.
You need to open File Explorer and open the following 5 locations:
C:\Users
C:\Users\YOUR NAME\Documents
C:\Users\YOUR NAME\Music
C:\Users\YOUR NAME\Pictures
C:\Users\YOUR NAME\Videos
Click on the View tab and select the view you want.
Click on View and click Options on the far right.
Click on the View tab and click on Apply to Folders.
Click Yes when prompted and OK to close.
Repeat these steps five times for all the folders listed above.
