How to Check for Updates in Microsoft Store App
By Timothy Tibbetts |
The Microsoft Store is a necessary evil for some developers who don't offer their downloads in multiple locations and for many Microsoft apps. In this tutorial, we show you how to make sure your Windows Store apps are up to date.
The Microsoft Store should updates your apps automatically, much as your Android or iPhone does. But, if you're having problems with an app, checking for updates is often the first place to look.
Open the Microsoft Store App. Click on the three dots in the top-right corner. Click on Downloads and updates.
You should see a list of applications, their version number, and when they were last updated.
Click on Get updates to see if there are any new updates.
During the updates, you will see a list of apps being updated. You can pause all or next to each app update (if you're quick) you can also pause or abort the update.
