By Timothy Tibbetts |
Windows 10 has an Attachment Manager designed to protect you from opening potentially unsafe files downloaded from the internet, or email. Advanced users may want to disable this feature, even if only temporarily.
Any files you already downloaded are not affected, and you must be logged in as an Administrator.
Download Disable Downloaded Files from being Blocked in Windows, and extract the two files:
Disable Block Downloaded Files.reg
Enable Block Downloaded Files.reg (Default)
Double-click Disable Block Downloaded Files.reg or Enable Block Downloaded Files.reg to enable or disable Disable Automatic Maintenance in Windows 10.
Click Yes when prompted by User Account Control.
Click Yes when prompted by Registry Editor.
Click OK when prompted by the Registry Editor.
