How to Show the Actual Path in Windows 10 File Explorer
By Timothy Tibbetts |
The Windows 10 File Explorer address bar, by default, does not automatically show the full address of the folder you're viewing but instead uses breadcrumbs. For example, if you're looking at your Firefox Portable folder, you will see This PC > Local Disk > Firefox Portable. But, this isn't the actual path to the Firefox folder. Here's how to quickly find the exact path.
Being Windows, there's always more than one way to accomplish this, and some might work, and some might not.
Sometimes, all you have to do is click on the end of the address bar after the breadcrumbs.
Another option is to click on the location to the left of the breadcrumbs, or an empty space to the right and then press ALT + L or ALT + D.
As mentioned, it's good to know both in case one method fails.
