How to Remove or Restore Notepad in Windows 10

Windows 10 includes Notepad, a basic text editor that many have grown to love. Microsoft has now made Notepad an optional feature in version 2004, so you have the option to install or uninstall Notepad in Windows 10.
Uninstall Notepad in Windows 10
Click on Start > Settings Apps.
Click on Optional features.
Click on Notepad and click Uninstall.
After a few seconds, you should see Notepad > Uninstalled.
Install Notepad in Windows 10
You might be able to follow the steps above except type in Notepad under Optional features.
Often, Notepad won't show up, so download Notepad from the Microsoft Store.
