How to Reset All Group Policy Settings
How to Reset All Group Policy Settings
Group Policy Editor is a great way to make Windows changes, including many features not available in Windows 10 settings. However, if you've made numerous changes and are experiencing problems, we can easily reset the Group Policy Editor.
Windows 10 Home users don't have Group Policy Editor, but you can safely and easily
enable it using our batch files
.
You can also see
all Group Policy Editor changes
if you'd like to see your changes.
Open
PowerShell or the Command Prompt
as Administrator.
Type in the following three lines, pressing Enter after each:
RD /S /Q "%WinDir%System32GroupPolicyUsers"
RD /S /Q "%WinDir%System32GroupPolicy"
gpupdate /force
The first two lines remove all of the changed Group Policy settings. The final line tells Windows to re-load Group Policy.
Reboot.
