How to Uninstall a Printer Driver in Windows

When you remove a printer in Windows, the driver remains installed. In this tutorial, we show you how to uninstall your printer drivers.

1: Uninstall a Printer Driver in Windows in Settings
If you installed printer software, you should be able to remove the software in Settings > Apps or use an uninstaller like IOBit Uninstaller.
You can also go to Start > Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
Click on Print server properties.
Click on the Drivers tab.
Click on Change Driver Settings.
Click on your printer, and click on Remove.
2: Uninstall a Printer Driver in Windows in Print Server Properties
Press the Windows Key + R, type in printui /s /t2 and press Enter.
Click on your printer and click on Remove.
3: Uninstall a Printer Driver in Windows in Printers Folder
Press the Windows Key + R and type in explorer shell:::{2227A280-3AEA-1069-A2DE-08002B30309D}.
Right-click on a blank area, and click on Server properties. The following steps are the same as above.
Click on the Drivers tab.
Click on Change Driver Settings.
Click on your printer, and click on Remove.
4: Uninstall a Printer Driver in Windows in Control Panel
Open the Control Panel and click on Devices and Printers.
Click on your printer and click on Printer server properties.
The following steps are the same as Step 1 and Step 2.
Click on the Drivers tab.
Click on Change Driver Settings.
Click on your printer, and click on Remove.
