What is WWAHost.exe (Microsoft WWA Host)?
By Timothy Tibbetts |
WWAHost.exe (Microsoft WWA Host) is an executable that can be found in the System32 folder in Windows, starting with Windows 8.
WWAHost.exe is Javascript to execute some Metro apps, and WWAHost is the process you might see running in Task Manager.
It is rarely, if ever, a virus. It's more likely being used by an app on your computer.
If you're running into high CPU or memory usage with WWAHost, you might try closing any apps using it, such as Bing Weather. You can also open Task Manager to kill the process, and it should restart when the app using it opens again.
If you're not sure, a reboot should clear up whatever app is using your resources.
