B4J is a cross-platform development tool designed for creating desktop applications (UI), console programs (non-UI), and server solutions.
B4J can be considered a modern alternative to Visual Basic 6 (VB6). B4J is very similar to VB6 and aims to eliminate the learning curve out of developing desktop apps. Any apps compiled with B4J can run on Windows, Mac, Linux, and ARM boards (Raspberry Pi).
B4J offers an IDE with a full set of features, including a compiler, WYSIWYG visual designer (which simplifies the process of creating user interfaces), debugger, numerous libraries, and a packager capable of creating self-contained, no dependency installers. Additionally, any code developed for the desktop can be repurposed to produce similar appl for Android or iOS platforms.
B4J is displayed from an intuitive interface geared to allow any skill level of user to almost immediately begin creating a project, no matter if JavaFX or console. You will need to make sure Java 8u40+ is present on your machine to utilize this app properly.
