BlueGriffon is a full-featured HTML editor powered by Gecko, Firefox’s rendering engine.
Since BlueGriffon is built using Gecko, anyone that's used Firefox would find the interface comfortable. It uses a simple gray and white interface, focusing your eyes more on your project. Well, unless your website is gray and white, of course.
The layout has what you're working on in the center with the standard tabs giving you access to everything above, including File, Edit, View, Insert, and more. Below are icons that let you quickly access everyday things like adding a link, movie, music, and more. On the left, you can find and promptly change your font, styles, and formatting.
You can quickly switch from WYSIWYG to the source to print preview at the bottom. It's just a friendly, intuitive interface.
Two versions are available. The version offered here is the free version, and you can purchase the full version for around 70 bucks, or compare the differences at What's Inside. We found the free version is fully featured for most people, and what they offer in the full version would be worth it for professionals. Many add-ons are also available, but again, many of those are not free either.
Today we have more choices than ever in web editors, and BlueGriffon easily ranks as one of the best.
Starting as of 3.1, BlueGriffon is 64 Bit Only. MajorGeeks download is for the last 32 Bit assembly (3.0.1). Not all features available (not specified) until a license is purchased ($84.00).
