Desk Drive provides you with automatic drive/media shortcuts for your desktop.
This utility was designed to offer a solution to a common problem. Whenever you insert a USB thumb drive or DVD into your computer, you will then have to open up Windows Explorer and locate the mapped drive/folder. Desk Drive adds a desktop icon that automatically points to the drive. When you remove the media, the shortcut goes away.
Desk Drive is simple but quite effective. It resides in the systray awaiting deployment. It includes the ability to specify the types of media to monitor (CD ROM, Removable, Fixed, Networked, and RAM). You can monitor them in any combination as well as set specific types of actions like hiding the tray icon, media removal reminders, run on startup, drive exclusions, etc.
