DustEND is an app to remind you to dust your PC or change the filters and includes a CPU and temperature monitor and a lot more.
They say there's an app for everything and DustEND proves it. We usually just look down and blow off our desktops when we see some dust, but we get it. We can't count the times we've gone to repair a computer and found it full of dust. The response, almost always, is "I meant to dust that off." Sure, a year ago maybe.
Regardless, we were going to ignore DustEND because it seemed silly and we're glad we didn't. Let's take a look at why we decided to add it.
On the first run, Russian is the default language. You can worry that DustEND will try to modify the results of the 2020 election, or just use the drop-down to select English. Once you've agonized over that decision, you can choose Simplified or Advanced settings.
When DustEND opens you immediately realize this is more than just a timer app, which is what we were expecting. There's the CPU temperature, CPU load, stress test, temperature settings with actions, time to clean, time to change, average work time, and more.
A calculation tab is also available where you can select the type of tower you have with dust density, time to change the filter, and airflow to the heatsink.
Head to the settings tab, and you will be surprised at how many possible settings are available for both the application and notification settings. See our second screenshot below for all the settings.
DustEND sells computer filters, so this is a smart way to market their filters. Typically, we would find this marketing sleazy, but not here. There's no push to buy their filters and DustEND is, in reality, a brilliant CPU monitor. Anyone from gamers to professionals with pets will appreciate setting up DustEND and forgetting about it until you need it. It could quite easily extend the life of your computer. We'll even provide a link to get information about the DustEND filters because they've earned it.
