The EA App is the newest iteration of their PC platform for gaming and will eventually replace Origin.

EA wants you to have the best possible PC gaming experience, with faster downloads and updates, simpler access to your games, and the ability to connect with your friends across platforms. So they got to work building a next-generation PC gaming platform — and designed it from the ground up with your feedback in mind.

To sign in, use your EA/Origin login. Your friend's list and progress on eligible games will carry over if you're an Origin player.

You can still access all of your content from Origin, so you can pick where you play.
