Falkon Browser (previously known as QupZilla) is a KDE web browser using QtWebEngine rendering engine with search results provided via DuckDuckGo.
This project aims to be a lightweight cross-platform web browser. It was initially started for educational purposes only. But from its start, it has grown into a feature-rich browser. It was designed to consume fewer system resources than other general purpose browsers like; Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome while remaining fast. It is available in portable form as well which can be chosen during setup.
Falkon Browser has all standard functions you have come to expect from a web browser. It includes bookmarks, history (both also in sidebar) and tabs. Above that, it has by default enabled blocking ads with a built-in AdBlock plugin. But make sure you disable the AdBlocker for MajorGeeks - we have to eat and all.
During installation, as with most browsers, it offers to set Falkon as your default browser but this can be unchecked before you proceed.
