GameMode for Windows 10 is meant to help improve the performance of your Windows 10 PC while gaming.
With all the resources that modern day games consume it is a priority to ensure your machine is not slowed down while playing. GameMode for Windows 10 will allow you to disable non-essential Windows services with the direct goal of improving overall system performance so you can enjoy your game of choice without worrying about slowdowns, freezes, and other game-costing interferences.
GameMode for Windows 10 operates by modifying various registry values to disable (and enable) some unnecessary services that potentially eat up resources, and it is portable so you can have it anywhere you may find yourself gaming. Having these disabled may provide noticeable performance gains while playing. You can disable Telemetry, Cortana, Runtime Broker, Notifications, Superfetch, Indexing, and others.
It would be useful if there were a help file or instructions for inexperienced users to reference before disabling items so we would suggest that this app is for the more experienced user.
Version History for GameMode for Windows 10:
- in this version removed disable \ enable Diagnostic keys, because they've been changed and probably these services have changed as well
