Jami is a viable alternative to Zoom that is designed with the freedom and privacy of users in mind.
One nice security/privacy feature for Jami is that it is entirely peer-to-peer and doesn't require a server for relaying data between users. Also, users who are on the same local network will be able to communicate even when they are disconnected from the internet. It also can be used without any restrictions on file size, speed, bandwidth, features, number of accounts, storage, or anything else.
Unlike some other similar apps on the market these days, Jami requires no personal information to be provided when creating your account - a plus in our book.
Jami Features:
SIP-compatible with OpenDHT support
Unlimited number of calls
Instant messaging
Searchable call history
Call recording
Attended call transfer
Automatic call answering
Call holding
Audio and video calls with multi-party audio and video conferencing
Viber is a cross-platform VoIP (voice over IP) application that will let you send free messages and make free calls to other Viber users on any device, network, or in any country in which you happen to be.
