jfPaint is a Java-based paint program built with the JavaForce SDK.
Naturally, jfpaint isn't for everyone. Many of us geeks don't have Java installed for security reasons. Keep this in mind, and remember we have hundreds of other free graphics apps in our Graphics category.
jfpaint has a friendly interface with mostly black and white with some red, green, and yellow used for some icons. It is multi-tabbed, allowing you to work with multiple images simultaneously. It can only open JPG, PNG, and BMP.
Many tools included are pencil, line, curve, fill, box, circle, text, substitute, transparency, gradients, and gaussian blur. The latest version also added multiple layers.
Again, jfPaint isn't for everyone, but if you're looking for a simple and easy-to-use paint program and have Java installed, jfpaint is pretty neat.
XnView Full is a powerful tool that enables users to view, process, and convert image files easily. XnView Full has all plug-ins and languages included. XnView Standard has just a few add-ons included.
