King & Balloon is a recreation of the 1980 Namco game that used the Galaxian hardware. You can download all 71 of the Crozza Remakes here.

In King & Balloon, you control two men and a cannon fighting off balloons coming down trying to take the King away. When they do, you must shoot that balloon and save him. Depending on your lives, after the King has been taken away three or four times the game ends. We always found King & Balloon to be much more difficult than Galaxian. The balloons come at you relentlessly as they fire at you. When the King is being taken away, it can be challenging to get over to him and shoot that balloon down.

This remake is done well complete with the familiar, yet annoying sounds. Gameplay is simple. Use your arrow keys to move left or right, space bar to fire, and F4 for full screen. F1 will bring up the help screen. ESC will bring you back to the menu screen as pause or exit.

King & Balloon is portable, just extract, run, and play.
