Link Virus Check - Security Plus for Chrome and Firefox is a free extension that enables you to check URLs for viruses.
Link Virus Check - Security Plus for Chrome and Firefox utilizes up to 64 different antivirus products and scan engines to check for viruses that your antivirus solution of choice may have missed, or to help verify any suspected false positives. This extension is like an in-browser second line of defense for your machine. It is powered by VirusTotal online service and will facilitate the quick detection of viruses, worms, trojans, as well as numerous other types of malware.
Once you have all the required details entered (VirusTotal registration for their API key) all you need to do is right-click on an URL and scanning commences. When complete, it will notify you if clear or not.
