MemPad is a portable note-taking and plain text outliner featuring a structured index.
This program offers all the standard editing functions like cut, copy, paste, undo, date/time insert, drag&drop, and it also supports Web links as well as network and local file or folder links (full path not required) and internal page links. You can additionally use environment variables in any file links to run programs, for example. You can modify the index structure via buttons, context menu or hotkeys, and cut&paste functions, and quick node moving are also included. While using MemPad, it autosaves your data without the need to prompt it to do so, and there is also an optional auto-save mode that will activate and save every 4 minutes. All pages are stored in a single file.
MemPadcan also be set to perform automatic backups (can be disabled by option); restore the last backup, and reload a file. This little text editor super simple and crystal clean, ranking it up there in choice with the likes of CintaNotes.
