MSMG USB Flash Drive Format Tool simplifies formatting your USB flash drives using the Microsoft Disk Partitioning app to perform the format.
The tool is very easy to use. It's a Windows Command Script, so it is in a DOS Window. We didn't need to run it as administrator, but that's usually a good idea.
MSMG USB Flash Drive Format Tool will display a list of available USB flash drives on startup including Volume Number, Letter, Label, File system Type, Size, Status, and Info.
You can now type in the flash letter drive, change the volume label if you like and format it. Choices include boot type, BIOS, UEFI, or BIOS_UEFI which is useful if you want to make the flash drive bootable.
Finally, you have a chance to respond if you're sure before the drive is formatted and you're told when the operation has completed.
There are a few different ways to format your USB drives in Windows and many third-party tools as well, however, at 1KB with no installer, it does make formatting your USB drives simple, especially for those who want to make it bootable.
