Network Rename Tool allows you to change network profile names without manually editing the registry.

This is a super-simple tool that will allow you to rename Control PanelNetwork and InternetNetwork Connections in Windows so that the name you select actually shows up. Windows utilizes its own Connection Profiles and if you decide you would like to name them, you are not allowed, at least not without having to mess with system registry. Network Rename Tool eliminates the need to manually alter the registry and gives you the option to rename your system's network names as you desire.

To achieve this simply run Network Rename Tool, and then edit the network name. Any changes you make are effective immediately. It may require you to restart your machine for the changes to complete. You can also delete profiles if you like as well and Windows will recreate them when needed. To use Network Rename Tool, you will need an app like 7-Zip or similar.
