NoSweats is an interesting monitoring app that monitors your CPU activity in real-time along with your mouse movement to determine the current load and the best power plan to use.
The goal of NoSweats is to both save energy but to reduce heat especially for those who are data mining and or have overclocked CPUs or other hardware. NoSweats is portable and easy to use. However, a user guide is available here.
You'll want to read the user guide because NoSweats itself is small and simple, by design. You still need to go to your Power Options and go through all the advanced settings now available to you. Here's a quick primer.
Press the Windows Key + S and type in Power and click on Edit power plan and finally Power options. Here you can now find percentages and other settings previously unavailabe to you.
NoSweats is interesting because the app itself is an interface to the advanced power settings. Personally, it takes a small amount of work, and we'd prefer a GUI to manage everything, but NoSweats accomplishes exactly what it set out to do all in a free, small, portable app.
