NoVirusThanks USB Logger can track when a USB device is plugged in or when a file is copied/moved to/from a USB device.
This utility is a service-only application that will also log the date and time, the username, device information, and the full file paths of any copied files. Tracking the types of details is useful for tracking important USB events as well as for monitoring what files are copied to/from the USB device.
NoVirusThanks USB Logger will help you track if any files have been "stolen" (copied or moved) from the USB or if a file was copied from the PC to the USB device. It allows you to edit the Config.ini file for service configuration.
To install the service:
Copy the folder "USBLoggerSvc" on C: and open the folder
Right-click on "install.bat" and select Run as administrator to install the service
Wait a few seconds so that the service has been started and then close the command-prompt window
To test the service:
Insert a USB and copy some files to/from the USB device then eject the USB device
Inside the "Logs" folder there are saved the log files
Limitations:
This program doesn’t fully support Windows 10, in particular, it can’t log files copied to/from USB devices from Explorer.
