Pristy Tools is a small suite of tools, including a web assistant, power manager, system information, memory cleaner, and file wiper.
Pristy Tools isn't a complete suite of tools, but we can only guess the developer created many tools they found relevant. Considering the app is less than 2MB, there is an impressive list of features with each app.
Here is a list of tools available.
Web Assistant - allows you to search or open websites using multiple search engines. There are also links to databases, news, and other sites. We didn't get the point of this section.
System Power - features a handy timer to reboot, sleep, log off, or lock the desktop at a set time. You can also use presets and more.
PC Detector - is a system information tool that's as good as any out there. All your system information is here minus your product key, and you can even clean memory or check for dead pixels here. You can even run sound tests.
Memory Clean - is a very simple, one-button memory refresher. Our VMWare tests seemed to free some memory, but we are using minimal memory in our virtual machine. An info page is available that can show you memory in use, free, and total as well as VRAM.
File Wiper - has an overly simple file wiper with a basic one or three passes, which isn't enough passes for secure erasing. You can select files, folders or drag and drop files to the app.
Pristy Tools is a complicated app to summarize. As mentioned, the web assistant seems redundant, and some options seem to be in weird places. Dead pixel tester and memory cleaner in the system information section, for example. The author's primary language is not English, and it shows. That said, none of the English is so bad you can't figure it out. As always, we must register our wish for a portable version. This app could be handy on a tech's thumb driver.
Pristy Tools is listed because we think it has potential. Let's see how it develops.
