Reset Windows Update will completely reset the Windows Update client settings.
Reset Windows Update will configure the services and registry keys related to Windows Update for default settings. It can also clean up files related to Windows Update.
This can be a great solution if you find Windows Update not working, especially following cleaning up after an infection.
Because of some limitations of the cmdlets available in PowerShell, this script calls some legacy utilities (sc.exe, netsh.exe, wusa.exe, etc.properly). If you have any issues with this script, please comment.
To execute the script correctly, right-click on Reset-WindowsUpdate.ps1 and choose "Run with Powershell." You can then select Y or N for each command or A for yes to all.
