Skype is one of the longest-running, well-known video chat clients. Also available as a portable app.

There's a good chance someone you know already has Skype and knows how to use it - not that it is complex to use by any stretch. You can easily connect with friends, family, or work colleagues and enjoy a face-to-face call even when miles separate you. There are other similar apps out there, but the name Skype is what comes to mind when most think of video calls, and the fact that it has worked perfectly for all of these years solidifies the fact that you can’t go wrong with Skype.

If you don't want to install it, Skype currently has a web-based version that will fit the bill and is just as easy to use. An online account is required, however.
