SpaceEye is an Open Source app that covers your desktop with live publicly available satellite images.
New images are downloaded approximately every 20 minutes (or hour, depending on the view), giving your desktop an up-to-date, high-resolution view of the Earth from space. Almost like being on the ISS.
SpaceEye currently provides 10 views of the Earth from 3 different geostationary weather satellites: Himawari-8, GOES-17 (West), and GOES-16 (East). The author looks forward to the list being expanded in the future for different views and areas of space.
If you want something different for your desktop wallpaper and enjoy satellite imagery, SpaceEye will be a great choice.
ExplorerPatcher is an Open Source, portable executable that lets you customize the Windows 11 Start Menu, Taskbar, System Tray, File Explorer, and more.
