USB Mouserate Switcher lets you enforce a mouse polling rate
of 250Hz (4 ms), 500Hz (2 ms) or 1000Hz (1 ms)
and lets you restore Windows' original "usbport.sys" (8 ms)
if needed.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Restart Windows and login to Safe Mode with an admin account
2. Run this utility in SAFE MODE and follow the instructions
3. Reboot your computer

Anything over 500Hz is probably overkill.
