WPS Office provides a complete Microsoft Office compatibility suite with enhanced performance and great features.
The download size is small for a full office suite, and after installation WPS Office provides shortcuts on your desktop and the Start Menu, including Presentation, Writer, and Spreadsheets. It offers to sync anywhere you log in to access your documents on startup when the Writer module opens up by default.
Everything seems well presented, and it's easy to get at the most common features considering how many there are. The writer offers a lot of templates immediately, as well as a blank document. Templates are broken into categories and can be downloaded on demand. It also shows what everyone is searching for, and our tests show people searching for "business," so we are suspicious of how well that's working, if at all.
The Presentation feature also offers many templates and themes to get you rolling, with more being made available.
Spreadsheets will repeat what Presentation and Writer do by offering many online templates or the option to start with a blank.
One thing you can count on is more options than you could use. However, it is effortless to start creating. We are not big fans of how it is always online. While features including what everyone is searching for and the included online templates are cute, theyâ€™re just that. They are also a drag on the system and rely on the Kingsoft servers to be online. Thereâ€™s also an ad running on the left side, and while we like to be supportive, running any flashing advertisement, especially those â€œscan your PC for freeâ€ ones, is distracting if you're trying to type.
